1. Marble &  Stone
Marble is a natural stone material that is organically porous, soft, and sensitive to chemicals. Thus, any substances that are left on marble surfaces can stain.
 
  • Clean any spills or food crumbs immediately with a lightly dampened cloth tominimise the imperfections to the item. Blot spillsbefore wiping to avoid the spread of spills.
  • Avoid leaving drink cups or bottles. The marble can be stained due towater condensation.Using coasters and placemats can be a good way to further protect the stone.
  • Clean the marble with a damped cloth and wipe dry instead of the use of cleaning solutions that easily cause stain, corrosion or tarnishof the surfaces.
 
2. Timber & Wood
Wood is a permeable or porous material. Sudden and extreme changes in temperature and humidity can easily cause the wood to crack, split or warp. In addition,
The wood surfaces require more attention than other ones. Heavy objects or extreme pen pressure when writing can result in scratches and dent.
 
  • Place the furniture away from direct heat sources, such as sunlight, heating, and windows.

  • Keep the integrity of the wooden furniture with coasters and placemats.
  • Dust every few days or so with a dry towel or duster to remove abrasive build ups of dust.
  • Do not place the wooden furniture in extremely high or low humidity condition.
 
3. Fabrics
We apply various fabrics on our products. Fabrics do naturally fade over time and get pilling after constant use. Take these steps below to help prevent or slow this process.
 
  • A vacuum with low suction and a soft brush will remove the dust and damaging dirt particles.
  • Blot spills immediately with a soft, clean cloth or absorbent paper towel. If possible, clean them before the spills dry.
  • It’s normal to get pilling due to constant use. The pills can be removed by a power operated pilling tool.
  • Professionally clean the fabric bi-annually or yearly.
  • Rotate reversible seat cushions regularly to develop even cushioning on a sofa.
 
4. Velvet Fabric
Velvet is a sleek, soft fabric with a densely plush nap. At Get Set Style Furniture, we usually use this kind of fabrics on our products. It’s normal to find shading, marking and
texturing of the pile and these are characteristics of velvet.
 
  • A soft dry brush in the direction of the pile to restore the natural fabric direction and loft. This also will help to will remove the dust and damaging dirt particles that accumulate.
  • Use a soft dry brush Blot spills immediately with a soft, clean cloth or absorbent paper towel. If possible, clean them before the spills dry. If you leave these spots untreated,
they can eventually lead to bald patches.

  • Keep the product away from sharp or abrasive items.
  • Chemicals, alcohol or detergents may cause greater damage and discolourationof the fabrics.
       
       5. Leather
      Leather has a protective layer to resist most spills. Gentle care with suitable products is required to maintain the leather furniture.
       
      • Vacuum or dust weekly the products to remove the dust with a soft attachment.
      • Clean it with the product designed for leather. Avoid vigorous rubbing.
      • Wet clothes can leave a watermark on the leather.
      • Do not place in direct sunlightand near heat sources. The frames can cause damage to the material.
      • Dye transfer from clothes or other fabrics is possible. A quick wipe down with a baby wipe when you find it.

      6. PU Leather
      PU leather is an artificial leather made of thermoplastic polymer usually used for making furniture. PU doesn’t absorb water which makes it easy to clean and it doesn’t dry out over time.
       
      • Dust with a dry or slightly damp lint free cloth.
      • While the PU leather is water-resistant, prolonged exposure to humidity may still damage and cause the leather to lose its supple texture. Moist air may harm the leather product.
      • Do not place in direct sunlightand near heat sources. The frames can cause damage to the material.
      • Dye transfer from clothes or other fabrics is possible. A quick wipe down with a baby wipe when you find it.
      • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents on the material. Harsh chemicals like bleach and detergents.
       
       7. Tempered Glass
      Most of Get Set Style end table are made of tempered glass that is tougher and more durable than regular one. However, improper maintenance may damage the glass.
       
      • Dust and clean glass regularly with a soft and dry cloth.
      • Protect the glasswith coasters and placemats.
      • Handle the glass productwith care and do not drop objects onto the glass surface.
      • Avoid contact with sharp or hard objects
      • Do not subject the glass toextreme temperature or high mechanical pressure, or it can break or shatter.
